DAS Direct Access Scheme
A full bike licence entitling you to ride any size of machine is gained through the DAS (Direct Access Scheme) Course. After completing your CBT with us your training continues on a 125cc bike and, once you are proficient, progresses onto a 500cc machine which is what you take your test on. You must be 21 or over for this course.
(If you already hold a CBT Certificate we will deduct £100 from the price!)
Duration: Normally completed in 5 Days, (new test training is over 6 days from October 2008!), beginning with the 1 day CBT course (there are NO further tuition fees if it takes longer)
Location: We run our CBT courses in Ashford, Kent, just a few minutes from junctions 9 or 10 of the M20 and just off the main A28 Canterbury, Ashford, Tenterden to Hastings road. The remainder of the course takes place on the roads of Kent and East Sussex, with the test normally taking place in Folkestone, (Herne Bay from October onwards).
Instructor to Student ratios: Maximum 1:2 on the road
When you sign-up for a DAS course with us you will receive a helpful Welcome Pack containing; Confirmation of your course, (including Theory and Practical Test dates), a Theory and Hazard Perception CD-Rom twin-pack (to help you pass your DSA Theory Test), and a DSA 'Arrive Alive' booklet.
We will book your Theory Test for you. You will need to take and pass this before you begin the course.
Prior to your course starting we are available for help and advice over the phone.
We provide the essential items of motorcycle clothing for all our students, including Safety Helmets, Gloves and CE armoured jackets.
Our prices for training are fixed, so you know what it will cost you, you are not paying by the hour, but a one-off price up front. This includes all instruction, fuel, insurance, bike and clothing hire as well as the first Theory and Practical Test fees, (further test fees are due to the DSA in the unlikely event that you are not successful first time).
