A
full bike licence entitling you to ride any size of machine is gained
through this course. After completing your CBT with us your training
continues on a 125cc bike and, once you are proficient, progresses onto a
600cc (or larger) motorcycle which is what you take your tests on. You must be 24 or
over for this course.
Total Cost:
£895 (For just £50 extra
you could be learning on a Ducati!
Find
out more here.)
(This includes the CBT, Theory Test fee,
Theory Test
DVD-Rom, Practical Test fees, a
Taster Session if you need it, bike hire,
clothing hire, instruction, fuel, bike insurance etc, we even provide tea
and coffee!)
(If you already have a current, valid CBT done elsewhere then
we knock £100 off the DAS course price).
Location:
We run our DAS courses from Ashford in Kent.
Duration:
Normally run as a course over four consecutive days, but we can
sometimes accommodate different requirements, such as a semi-intensive
approach - give us a call to discuss what's best for you.
Instructor to Student ratios:
Always a maximum of 1:2 on the road.
Where to start?
If you've
never ridden before then take advantage of one of our
Taster Sessions (a 1 hour one-to-one
session with a qualified instructor), it's included in the price!
You will also need to complete a
CBT and pass a
Motorcycle Theory Test, (these can be done in either order). The total price shown
above includes the CBT and Theory Test (as well as a
Theory
Test DVD-Rom to help
you practice for it).
(If you already
have a current, valid CBT done elsewhere then we knock £100 off the course
price).
What next?
The practical
test is in two parts, Module 1 and Module 2. You have to complete them in
order, (so you need to pass Module 1 first).
Module 1:
This consists of a series of manoeuvres that are tested at a DSA Multi
Purpose Test Site, we normally use Herne Bay or Gillingham.
See our
Practical Test page for full details of the
manoeuvres.

Module 1
Training: This is normally run over 3 days, the 3rd day is Module 1 Test Day. The aim is to
grow your skills first on a 125cc bike and then on a larger machine so that
you are proficient on the road and ready to learn and practice the
manoeuvres needed to pass the Module 1 test.
Module 2:
This test is a 40 minute road ride, (without many set manoeuvres as
most of these have already been tested), it does include an angle start
(pulling away from behind a parked car) and a hill-start.

Module 2
Training: This is normally run over 2 days. The first day is to familiarise
you with the test town, (normally Folkestone), and to refresh your riding
skills. The second day is Module 2 Test Day, with a couple of hours pre-test
training from us.
Often the
Module 1 and Module 2 courses are taken consecutively, with some of the
training overlapping so you can get it done in 4 consecutive days, typically
Monday to Thursday.
Once you have
passed Module 1 and Module 2 you have gained your full motorcycle licence!
